As we close out 2025, the Year of the Snake, we are encouraging our community to shed that which no longer serves them before embarking on the new in 2026, the Year of the Horse.

Engage in liberating dance led by movement artist Juana Farfán, process the past as you alchemize the future with Grief House, and participate in communal art projects and visioning as we ring in 2026!

A note from Juana: “We will create a movement-based living canvas at the Avondale Arts Center, where we practice authentic expression to grow and connect. Through guided mindful movements, we will offer an opportunity to shed, release, and shake off stagnant emotions in our safe space, helping strengthen our sense of belonging as we bid farewell to 2025 and welcome 2026. We will start with a grounding breath practice and mindfulness to awaken and energize our bodies. Allowing movement to flow freely, we will create shared excitement through our physical practices in our communal experience.”
